The First Tehran Publishing Fellowship
Welcome to the First Tehran Fellowship Program, an initiative aimed at enhancing Iran’s presence in the global publishing landscape. Taking place from May 12-15, 2025, alongside the Tehran International Book Fair (TIBF 2025), this first edition will spotlight children’s and young adult literature. Known for their remarkable creativity, Iranian authors and illustrators are poised to share their unique narratives and artistry with the world. Our program seeks to connect publishers and agents from various corners of the globe, providing them with an experience in Iran’s vibrant children’s book market.

Why Should You Participate?
The Tehran Publishing Fellowship Program aims to connect Iranian and international publishers annually. The inaugural edition focuses on the children's and young adult publishing market in Iran. What are the dates of the First Tehran Publishing Fellowship Program?
The program will take place from May 12 to May 15, 2025, in conjunction with the Tehran International Book Fair (TIBF 2025) at Mosallah, Tehran.
Who is eligible to apply?
Executives from publishing houses, editors, copyright agency representatives, and professionals from non-governmental publishing organizations active in the field of children's and young adult literature are eligible to apply for the program.
How can I apply to become a fellow?
You can apply by filling out the application form available on this website.
Are there any financial supports available?
We offer support packages categorized as Gold and Silver.
Gold Support Package:
- Round-trip plane ticket (Economy Class)
- 5 nights of accommodation
- Airport-hotel transfers
- Breakfasts and lunches provided throughout the program
- Participation in seminars and business meetings
- Translation support during meetings
Silver Support Package:
- 5 nights of accommodation

About the Event
Who Are We?
The First Tehran Publishing Fellowship Program is a collaborative initiative that brings together a diverse range of partners, including the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance and the Translation and Publication Grant Program of Iran. We are also joined by the Cultural Association of Children and Youth Book Publishers and the Introtema Literary and Translation Agency, all working cohesively to foster cultural exchange and creative development.
